Playdate.

The boys and I went to Kristin's house today for some playtime with Payton, Parker, and baby Grace.  Since the weather has been so nice, I brought over this little play pool thing.

You will have to take a look at Kristin's blog for more pictures.  It was pretty comical watching the difference between boys and girls.  Jackson and Garrett were going crazy in the water.  They would jump in and yell "Cannon Ball!" while the girls sat back and watched.  I guess that is something that never changes.  Why do boys have so much energy, but girls would rather just lay out by the pool with a magazine?

For some reason, Jackson finally realized that he is the oldest kid in the group.  While they were having snack time on the floor, Jackson sat on the couch like he was too cool....
And it never fails, when we are at a house with girl toys, the boys will find them.  This used to concern Aaron until we picked Jackson up from his church classroom one day and saw Jackson and 3 other boys playing with a doll house.  They are all probably boys who don't have sisters.....so new toys are fun and interesting!
Garrett was sweet with that little doll.  I saw him brushing her hair.  :)  Garrett later found a doll that went potty.  This shocked me too!  I haven't discovered any of the boy's toys that do that.  haha!  Does G .I Joe or Thomas the Train have that feature?

Now that Payton is crawling, she enjoys playdates so much more! She has such a good time trying to keep up with them all.
I love this picture.
Since Kristin and I grew up together, it is neat seeing out kids play together now.

Playdate & House Update

Tuesday, the boys and I went to Marla's house for a playdate with Parker, Payton, and little baby Grace. The weather was beautiful, so we were able to spend a lot of time outside.
More birthday fun!
Presents for Garrett and Sprinkles Cupcakes! Yum!
This is a moment that I REALLY wished I had my video camera for. Parker was holding the umbrella and Jackson decided to pretend like it was raining...pretending is currently one of his FAVORITE things to do. He is quite the little actor.

Here he is saying something like "Parker, did you get the umbrella because it is raining outside?"
Jackson then pretending like it was raining and said something like "Oh no! I need to get under the umbrella too!!" I love Parker's face in this picture. I am sure she was thinking "What the heck is wrong with this kid?"
Now they are both safe from the "rain!"

Garrett Loves the Ladies.

He started with Payton. They were hugging and smooching on each other.
<span class=
He thought since he was successful with Payton, he would move on to Parker -

Started with a little flirting....

Garrett thought it was safe to make a move....

Parker however was playing hard to get.
I think she just wanted to admire him for a little while first.....

We need to teach him not to close his eyes until the kiss is actually happening....

He tried again.....

Thanksgiving

On Wednesday, they boys and I went to Nana’s house (Aaron’s Grandmother) for a playdate with some of Aaron’s cousins and their children.  Nana has 3 daughters and is now up to 15 great grandkids.  In just 2009, 6 out of the 15 great grandchildren arrived…..2 sets of twins and Brooks and Chloe.  Unfortunately not everyone was able to attend, but we all had fun getting to spend the day with all the generations!

It was getting to be naptime for Garrett, but the cupcakes seemed to give Garrett enough energy to continue on…..

Until we were done with the cupcakes, on to another project, and I decided that Garrett didn’t need the marker any longer…..

Although Jackson was trying to be the best big brother ever by giving Garrett a purple crayon to replace the marker…..All good things must come to an end……It was naptime!

On Thanksgiving Day, we only had one place to go since we had Thanksgiving with Aaron’s side of the family a few weeks ago.  We spent our morning at home watching the Thanksgiving parade on TV and then headed down to my parents house.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I guess it is time to put up the Christmas tree.  Jackson has been saying for the past few weeks “First it is Thanksgiving, then we sing a song, then it will be Christmas.”  I don’t know where the sing a song part came from, but I guess that is what stage we are in now….we are singing!   :)
