Aaron and I would like to say thanks for the many acts of love you all have shared. Aaron and I have truly seen how blessed we are with family and friends. As you can imagine, we have received many e-mails and phone calls and we apologize for not being able to return them all. Please know that we really do appreciate them all even though you may not hear back from us.
One question that has been asked a lot is what happened. Aaron and I feel that nobody should have to guess or wonder, so I will do my best to sum it up for you all.
As most of you know, Melvin has dealt with diabetes for 20+ years. We have learned that this past week Melvin wasn't feeling well, possibly had pneumonia, and went to the doctor Monday morning. When Melvin was found at home Wednesday morning it was clear that he died as a result of his diabetes. His previous blood sugar readings were extremely low and it was obvious that he was trying to regulate it when he passed away. We believe that due to being sick, he wasn't able to eat much, etc. which extremely effects his diabetes.

Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Aaron and Kelli
